I can’t decide which of these two pictures I’ll be using in the final project. What do you think?

Here Comes Trouble

On the verge of turning one, our Miss Olive has been busy discovering that she’s now big enough to climb up on things. For example, here she is standing on her sister’s bed.

She is also learning that getting up is much easier than getting down.

My Name is Olive

…and despite how often I get stuck in it, this is my favorite spot in the whole house.

Also, can someone please tell my mom that when she finds me like this, the correct response is to pull me free, not laugh at me and take my picture?

My Name is…

My name is Olive and I would like to wish you a Happy Halloween.

My name is Gwen and I am silly.

My name is Inez and I’m a gypsy for Halloween.

Not a Fan

I really hate having to wake up Olive in order to pick up Gwen from preschool (morning nap) and Inez from school (afternoon nap).

I especially hate it when she is so deep in her sleep that my taking pictures doesn’t disturb her one bit.

I guess that’s just life is when you are the third child. She rolls with the punches because she has to. That’s probably one reason she’s such a mellow baby.

Big Sister, Little Sister

A short story of two sisters and a common interaction between them.

Gwen wants to brush her sister’s hair. Olive just wants to get out of there.

Olive is hanging out doing her thing. Gwen comes along and gets up in her space. Olive pushes Gwen with her feet (because she’s a baby and pushes anything that comes in contact with her feet). Gwen laughs and laughs, thinking it’s a game.

Gwen loves her little sister. Olive loves her big sister, but sometimes just wants her own space.

Fin.

My Name is Olive

I’m getting really good at standing all on my own.

My sisters affectionately call me The Cheshire Cat when I wear this outfit. Except for Gwen who can’t say “cheshire” correctly. She calls me the “Treasure Cat.”
